10 Reindeer Activities

Where do the reindeer like to stop for lunch?
"Deery" Queen!

Who pulls Santa's sleigh? Why the reindeer of course. There are many ways to use these creatures in your lesson plans. To start with here is a coloring page from me--just click on it to get a printable version. Here are a few ideas from around the net.

Hand and Foot Reindeer Craft from Enchanted Learning

Pin the Nose on Rudolph Game from Just Preschool Themes

3d Reindeer from Show Mom the Money
--This is another hand and foot craft but with a twist. It involves putting the reindeer craft in a picture frame and glueing the eyes on the outside of the glass. It is a little expensive (dollar store frames) but would be a keepsake.

Yarn Bug from Making Friends--You'll be making pom poms ahead of time but the yarn bug sure is cute.

Max's Reindeer Antlers from Family Crafts at About.Com
from the book How the Grinch Stole Christmas.

Candy Cane Reindeer from Bella Online

Popsicle Stick Reindeer Ornament from Free Preschool Crafts

OK--we did the turkey pokey at Thanksgiving so you had to know there was a reindeer pokey
The Reindeer Pokey

(to the tune of The Hokey Pokey)

You put your antlers in.
You put your antlers out.
You put you antlers in,
And you shake them all about.
You do the Reindeer Pokey,
And you turn yourself around.
That's what it's all about!

You put your hooves in....
You put your red nose in....
You put your fluffy tail in...
You put your reindeer body in…

Reindeer Paper Bag Puppet from Christmas Crafts
